My band's Christmas special gig!

If you happen to be local to my hometown of Nottingham, England, my band are playing a Christmas special show at a fantastic local venue. Here’s the blurb from their website;
“It’s Chriiiistmasss!!! But you won’t find any Noddy Holder down The Pit. Local stars The Most Ugly Child will be bringing their very own Americana/Folk vibes to our Christmas bash. If that wasn’t enough then we shall also be providing supper and a Baileys included in the bargain ticket price of just £12.”

Click here to buy tickets… almost sold out already so don’t delay!..

Wish I could hop across the pond and catch this! Alex do you haver any videos of any of your bands playing up on youtube? or audio recordings? I’d love to see/ hear you with a band or at a gig.

Hi all,

I’ve uploaded some videos from the gig to my YT channel, hope it gives a sense of the event for those unable to make it:

Glad to have made the trip out to rural Nottinghamshire on a cold, soggy Christmas Eve-eve to see The Most Ugly Child. The band was on top form, each member a class act in their own right but together put on something really special for the merry mob of 50-ish guests. A Ho-Ho-Hoedown of country/gospel/blues inspired original numbers along with some well-curated covers thrilled the audience and got many up and do-si-do-ing by the end.

Those fans of Alex’s country and Ribot-esque stylings would’ve been like a kid on Christmas morn. His tele-spawned steel bends sparlking through the mix, thanks to the Deluxe Reverb-inspired Emprize Falcon.

The venue itself was a delight as well, obviously an arts-focussed community hub that felt warm and welcoming. The turkey, stuffing and cranberry cobs certainly helped too :wink:

It was great to hear Alex’s playing in a band context and at full volume after admiring it on YT etc. Nice of him to come say hi and get to chat as well. Cheers Alex :beers:
