Big Lazy is a favorite of mine! Steven Ulrich is a masterful player. He also teaches lessons if you’re interested. This album also features him is a one off that is a perfect ten in my book…

Yesssss! After Marc Ribbot, Stephen Ulrich is one of my favorites! Love his compositions! I did take a couple of lessons with him. Nice man.

Yes he is absolutely one of my favorite players too, Luca Benedetti is also worth checking out. Big Lazy is playing here in Vancouver with Paul Pigat next month, hopefully I can make that show.
No way! I don’t know much about Ziegler except for this record. There are some great videos from this album. He seems like a really cool musician.
In honor of a Ribot lesson. His work with Los Cubamos Postizos is great.
This one fetures I assume Ribot sing/speaking in really band gringo Spanish. About halfway through he shiftys gears into something more intense and has some killer tone at 1:47.

I recently found La Lom - The Las Angeles Leahue of Musicians. SImilar Latin vibe but cumbia based.
I’m a sucker for anytime a pedal steel is thrown into the mix as well. I really look forward to checking out Big Lazy.
